Senior Victorians and local police sat down to chat one on one this week, as part of this week’s Victoria Seniors Festival celebrations.
The day was a huge hit with police and more than 40 seniors sharing personal stories and speaking about all things road safety, crime prevention and online scams.
Acting Sergeant Frank Pisani from Williamstown Police Station said the forum gave police an opportunity to hear first-hand the needs of older Victorians.
“Opportunities like this are important to establish trusting relationships with seniors and encourage them to speak to us whenever they need to.”
“We hope to establish more regular forums such as this one following the success of today’s event.”
Thanks to the Williamstown Community and Education Centre for having us 🙌🏼
